How does S3 sell our items?
A Instead of holding an in-person auction that may only attract local buyers, S3 sells items on several online platforms in order to generate as many bids as
possible. Our items are marketed to buyers all over the world which increases the bid amounts, compared to a small, closed auction. S3 is also an eBay
Trading Assistant, having sold thousands of items on eBay's Business and Industrial sales site. All of the items that we sell for our clients have been deidentified, and our sales never indicate what business the item came from.
How do we get the items to S3?
S3 can pick items up, or our clients often choose to deliver them to us. Alternatively, S3's staff often works on-site at our clients' locations to process the
items if there is suitable work space. We will work with you to determine the most efficient method.
Can we see a chain of custody of our assets once they are in S3's possession?
All of our clients' items are entered and tracked in our secure and proprietary asset management system, S3 Surplus Sales ManagerĀ® (SSM). Clients are
given password protected access to this real-time, web-based system to see the status of their assets at any time. SSM provides extensive reporting on revenue generated by originating department, recycling volumes, timeframes, and many other elements of our service to help you manage your business.
